So you can only fill them up to about 4 liters and you'll also lose about another .5 liter to sediment…so, they're technically 3.5 liter kegs or less than a gallon or 8 16 oz beers. Why wouldn't you just use 2 64 oz growlers?

sorry i know this is an older video but can i go get one of these (clean of course) mini kegs filled from a bar/brewerie i know its cheap but such as miller lite or a shock top out of tap and still use the co2 systems that you use??

How long will the beer stay on the shelf in a mini keg? I almost always have 3 kinds of beer ready would they last 3-6 months after kegging?
What about the sediment from the beer, does it get sucked up the keg when you drink it, and if you carry the mini keg wont it cloud up ? Also, does even small dents ruin the mini kegs ? Thanks

I bough a few mini-kegs recently and started using them. I love the principle, however I always find that my beer is a little more flat than in bottles. I use a third of the priming sugar as per the instructions, I've waited over a month to make sure it was all fermented, but once I tap them, I always get a few pints of pure foam before I get normal beer. Is it possible that I'm losing my carbonation in those first few pints? Am I doing something wrong?

No advice about removing the bung, just be as careful as possible. I have some plastic tools I use on mine but even those can be aggressive sometimes. No need to soak it in star san longer, it wont get any more sanitized than it already is.
hi I got a krombacher mini keg in the weekend. Now I rinsed it out and left it upsidet down to dry and today I went to sanitize it today and saw rust on the top from where it got scratched it with a screw driver and pliers to get thet top off. My question's are: Whats the way to take the bung out without scratching the keg, and is it ok to leave it soaking in star san for a day or more?
