"THE MARTINI" (Classic Martini) is made with Gin whilst the VODKA MARTINI is made with Vodka. Double shot and a half basically means 2 shots (double shot) and half of one shot (and a half).

A dry martini (preferably with gin) is almost always stirred. Now about James Bond, he was wrong. You should never ever shake a dry martini because shaking a martini adds air bubbles shards of ice and produces a very very different cocktail. Although it does sound cool when ordering it lol "Shaken not stirred" haha

Perfect video but wrong recipe. So sorry. Dry Martini is made with gin, not vodka, and always includes a green olive in. From Barcelona Petrus Soul Bar.
He got the volume and preparation right (particularly with the lemon garnish) but the fact that he used vodka rather than gin is a serious problem.
I dunno. Maybe in some circles, an "extra" dry martini uses vodka rather than gin, and that's where the "extra" in the title comes from.
Still, at least he used Stoli vodka, an awesome brand, rather than Smirnoff or some sh*t.
