Great review. I'd like to know what the 'room' volume of these is compared to the normal Vdrums. Seems like the full depth acoustic shells would make them louder?
What is the sound volume of this kit unplugged? I am wondering how much louder it is than the Roland TD-50 unplugged. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Good to hear an Aussie accent. Sound like a Melbourne accent.
I want to play that very last part on my drum set .. really awesome .. do you have a drum note for it or for any of the examples you demonstrated?
Is this cool high hat fully compatible with the VAD506 in TD27 model?
whats the point of all them paradiddles… if you can't lift a bloody beam!
Is that fill on 02:00 from Dream Therater "Scene froma a memory part II"? Think so 😉 amazing to hear with this drum set!
eheheheh dance of eternity
I bought it, on July 4. Still waiting. Supply chain argh!!!
Just bought mine today! Cost me a kidney but definitely worth it!
07:20 I was wondering about that! They look so much better without those rubber rings. A bit louder (when you hit the rims) though, I imagine. But you likely aren't hitting many (intentional) rim shots on the toms anyway.
If only I could win the lottery…
just looking for a new acoustic kit, but this really is a game changer. Would be tempted to put acoustic cymbals with it but having said that they do sound like the real deal. Im guessing you can program any make of cymbal you like? Im guessing practise time would expand too as you're not upsetting the neighbours at all!
whats the difference between VAD 506?
Does this thing can quantize drums while playing ?
EF Note is the new king. F*** Roland. Their modules sound like absolute garbage. It's like they never consider that the SOUND OF THE DAMN KIT is a huge part of what makes it good and what makes it WORTH THE MONEY. After all, my desire is to emulate a drum set. Stop telling me about all the features and show me a drum set that SOUNDS REAL. If it doesn't, than wtf is the point?! I understand that you can always get software, but it's a slap in the face to have to resort to that. I'm going to spend over $10,000 to then have to go spend another $300 on some software, and then deal with lugging my labtop around to access it. I've done that. And, I'll tell you, it is much simpler to just have a good-sounding module already hooked up. If you haven't checked out EF Note, do so. They are like the Apple of edrums. Everything is simple, elegant, attractive, high quality, and great sounding. They are basically ATV 2.0.
The rim rings also dampen the shock that causes the heads to loosen.
I am considering purchasing these but not sure if they'd fit in my living room. What size is that rug you've got under? Much appreciated! Great videa by the way!
When you playing that straight 4/4 the snare sounded like a wooden box.
Still my main issue with Vdrums: looks top, sounds flop. Needs Steven Slate or Superior Drummer plugins, otherwise sounds terrible
Man. Great controller, but the sounds just don’t stack up against addictive drums, get good, slate, ez etc.
