Had a customer say their LONG ISLAND tasted too weak. Told me to get it remade stronger. I said i'd have it remade, nothing about stronger. The 2nd one was strong enough, same amount of liquor

For the people saying oh this is why people don’t go out because this guy is gonna judge me; he’s just saying avoid saying these phrases to the bartender as it can be rude and sometimes annoying since they deal with these customers all day.

This is why I drink martinis and pina colada at home cuz bartenders get mad if they have to pour anything besides whiskey and ice and open beers for 6$-12$

Let's all be honest here for a moment. I frequent bars as much as anyone else that is alone with no friends nearby, so let's provide some tips for anyone afraid of messing up at a bar:

1.) Don't be impatient. Bartenders have a lot to do and you need to understand that your good time is their job. Don't be an ass.

2.) Understand the bar you are going to. Even if you just walked into a bar with zero research on it, understand the room. You don't order tequila at a scotch bar and you don't order scotch at a tequila bar. Also, understand that fancy drinks take time and bartenders don't have time when they are packed.

3.) Your bartender is not psychic. They have no clue as to what you want and if you ask them to surprise you, don't you dare complain about what they give you.

4.) Don't be a dick or show your ass (figuratively and literally). Waving your money around or yelling to get the bartenders attention gets you nowhere other than on the Shit List. Being the obnoxious drunk gets you on that list as well.

5.) The bartender has heard it all. Your pick-up line from social media will not work. You can chat with them but understand this is a job. They will not stay after Last Call other than to clean and close down nor will they take your drunken ass home with them. Being nice is not flirting so don't get it twisted.

Bonus Tip.) ANGEL SHOT neat means you need to be escorted out of the bar. Angel Shot on the rocks means "Can you please get me a taxi/Uber/Lyft?" Angel Shot with lime/lemon/twist means "I need the police."

We got a bar that is notorious for having fights or bar brawls every weekend, been in a few myself at that place.
