Chef John knows what’s up!
You might try Russian Tomato Gose from Pivot Point, Tarkos or Salden's. Those beers taste awesome!
What in the hell
Well done.
nah
Yum!
Had one of these tonight with dinner. Very refreshing.

200 pounds?!
needs some oyster or clam juice in it, the clamato brand has tomato juice with that in it
So proud of Juan for using Modelo. Perfect balance for this drink.
nailed it!
It’s funny, back in the day, taverns in Montreal would serve this kind of drink as breakfast, they would just add a raw egg or two.
Are you suggesting that if you start drinking this cocktail, you will lose muscle and no longer be able to lift heavy weights??
One word, clamato.
Isn’t that what the original Bloody Mary , beer and tomato juice!??
I understand
Rim the glass with Tajin. It's ready to go and has lime, pepper and salt already mixed.
Cheff Juan mi favorito
Your umami would be proud
Almost 200 pounds…
but the drink,
is weightless!
Press 200 lbs? You’re one tough José, Rey!

Heartburn in a glass.
And the clam jiuce?
Muy bueno, hombre!
Bowling AND bench-pressing ?!?! LMAO
Thanks for this recipe. I've wanted to make it for years and finally stopped procrastinating after getting a juicer. Second time making it in a week today. One of my favorite-ever alcoholic drinks and I'm sure it'll be a summer grilling staple for years to come.
Chef Juan!!
You forgot clam juice
Anyone Mexican follow this recipe? If so, did it turn out as good as other "authentic" michelada recipes out there?
This is the best drink…ever! It's become my new favorite drink!
I guess we in San Antonio are degenerates…duh, of course, tequila, triple sec, V8, worschishire, or whatever it is, hot sauce and lot of it, negro modelo. Rim glass in tajín. Lots of ice. Not better but different.
No ice
U doing it all wrong

Wait! Where is the clam juice ?

There's an adage that, sooner or later, over a long enough timeline, EVERYONE will disappoint you. (And you, in turn, will disappoint everyone you know.) Chef John, whom I greatly revere has, today, with this… "recipe"… disappointed me. This is an abomination and should never be consumed by any human being, even under the greatest duress. Against my better judgement, I have tried these, so I do not speak from a place of ignorant judmentalism. This belongs in the echelon of the peanut butter, pickle, and banana sandwich. I make Chef John's recipes all the time… literally not a week goes by that I don't make something from his amazing array of recipes. This, however… counts as the disappointment which only serves to legitimize the rest of his catalogue.
And I'm pretty sure it'll be improved with two shots of vodka
Wuhhster
Heinz tomato juice from a can + 8% biker beer = a red eye (in canada, anyway lol).
