↓KANALI DESTEKLEYİN↓ – Standart Abonelik: – Patreon: ↓BENİM TARAFINDAN KAVRULMUŞ KAHVE↓ – Küçük Dev Kahve: – Küçük Dev IG: ↓DAHA FAZLASI İÇİN TAKİP EDİN↓ – Sprometheus IG: – Facebook: – Twitter: – Reddit: ↓MÜZİK↓ Summers Over – Dwnld #americano #kahve #sprometheus.

  1. One Drop Mtg diyor ki:

    I mean americano is the original name because it was invented to cater to the tastes of American soldiers in Italy during WWI. Due to the fact that espresso was not a thing in the US their palates were not used to the richness of espresso. So I prefer the original name due to its historical context also because it shares a name with a favorite cocktail of mine (equal parts sweet vermouth and Campari). Also due to being a diabetic the americano is my go to with its strong flavor, but nonexistent sugar content.

  2. Julian Mars diyor ki:

    I prefer my lungo/americano with mountain spring water, I add 160.98 ml of it, but not before serenading it with opera italiana the night before ( if you do it at 9pm it makes a difference). I drop 2 drops of espresso at the bottom of the cup 1st, then the serenaded mountain spring water, then the rest of the espresso on top while swirling my hand and presto! That's how a true Connoisseur does it!

  3. mazglad diyor ki:

    In Austrian coffee culture we have the "Verlängerten" which should equal a long black…but most Cafes serve a Lungo with a little bit more water going through the coffee…be aware! Only some good Cafes serve an espresso with hot water on the side to create your own "Verlängerten"

  4. theBitterFig diyor ki:

    Hadn’t heard of the term “long black” until fairly recently. I’ve got too many happy memories of ordering Americanos. Iced Americano was my go-to drink for ages at (chain name redacted), or local shops. Usually I’d order “extra cold.”

    Some of that, however, was that it was typically cheap. Iced latte? 4.50. Iced americano? 3.00, but I had to add the cream myself from the pitcher.

  5. Queen Chioma diyor ki:

    We used to have a cafe-restaurant, a few years ago, brings back so many memories, I enjoyed making so many black and white coffee drinks. Definitely prefer it as an Americano, I’ve actually never heard of long black until today lol.

  6. Ben Ko diyor ki:

    I do my own style… Let's call it Short Black 😀 I first add round about 30-35 gr of hot water and then pull a double espresso (45gr) onto it. It tastes like an espresso, but without watering down the flavor. The taste is still very dense and gives a longer drinking than just the double espresso.

  7. Jake Johnson diyor ki:

    I love this! Never heard of a long black until recently, though I've been drinking Americanos for most of my life. Long black is such a cool name for a drink, and I do like the idea of keeping the crema intact. Of course, I put a little steamed milk on top, so perhaps that makes me a heathen of sorts.

  8. LittleImpaler diyor ki:

    I got my moka pot yesterday. I made my dad some coffee. It was intense and strong, but good smooth taste. Not bitter. He made himself a Americano, because he doesn't like coffee that strong. He added hot water. He loved it.

  9. Rafael Garcia Dias diyor ki:

    What is intriguing for me is the name of the beverage. Coming from Latin America, we are used to drink mainly drip coffee. It sounds to me that the americano is a way to mimic drip coffee. Now a days coffee shops cold easily offer drip coffee. It would be cheaper for them and would arguably be more "americano" than the americano. I may be confused why people like this drink. But for me it was always just a way of getting something close to a drip coffee in Europe.

  10. 450gmo diyor ki:

    Double shot in the cup, followed with water… I thought I was making myself a long black… and I've been drinking americanos all this time!?!?!
    Mind = blown!
    (It may take me some time to come to terms with this – I'm an Australian, not an American)

  11. Abc diyor ki:

    @The Real Sprometheus
    Water or coffee first? Just pour a cup of water and a cup of espresso into a third cup simultaneously, and skip the debate.

  12. Gary Strader diyor ki:

    OK SPRO Bro – Help me out with this: "What is this I am drinking? " I have made a few Latte – I have made a few Cappuccinos, and of course they are milk based drinks made with Espresso as you have stated. What I make a drink that I just am passionate for is what I call a "Blond Americano". I first pull a double shot espresso in two single shot glasses. (One of them will be added to a second drink shortly). I heat for 30 seconds in a microwave about 3 ounces of whole milk, pour in 1 single shot espresso, and add 202 degree Fahrenheit water in the 10 oz Coffee Mug, slowly stirring as the water fills. I do not know what you call it – but the taste is heavenly.

  13. DH MacDonald diyor ki:

    For me, it's about taste/strength of the coffee and the size of drink I want to make. In the morning, with breakfast, I like a bigger drink that will last me the length of whatever I'm eating, so I will pull 36g of espresso (from 18g of coffee) onto about 185ml water. In the afternoon, I'm usually interested in something quicker and stronger-tasting, so I do the same with 115ml water. To each their own, of course, but I really love how crema looks when the shot goes on top of the water. It's part of what makes the espresso ritual so satisfying for me, so I always pour water first.

  14. Thomas the Tank Engine diyor ki:

    I sometimes will go into your average commercial cafe and order and espresso with some water added, and sometimes they will add a little more water than I like (and sometimes I will have to get it redone). I can't call it an Americano because it has a pre determined, specific amount of water in it according to the baristas specifications, and I prefer it customized to my own liking.
