My wife and I are looking to upgrade from our Nespresso machine to a super automatic. Out of what I have seen, the Saeco Xelsis seems to be a really good bang for buck. Not sure if you have any videos of machines in this price range that would beat it out or if you'd suggest steering clear for any reason? Looking for a super automatic and liked how the milk comes out from the same spout, easy to clean and maintain.
Great content. I prefer adding water manually as it seems to disrupt the crema less than the double drippers. I've heard that some oily beans can clog the grinders. How do you know if beans are oily or not? Is it the darkness of the roast? I'm in the UK otherwise I'd buy direct from you guys as a thanks for the content.
Hey Guys, great vdo, just curious why when making an Americano you just dont stretch the espresso from 30 seconds to whatever time to make your coffee to like 1:30 this way u utilize the bean completely?

I would absolutely love to have a semi-automatic machine but the superautomatic machine is so convenient. Also I've ordered many Americanos in Italy! They were always served as a shot of espresso with a small cup of hot water.

I have a heat exchange espresso machine and I have noticed that the water gets reheated over and over, making it less than tasty. Is this not an issue with a dual boiler as well?

Another excellent video. I used to live in Milan mid 2000s till 201o and Americano was a thing for tourists…..in 2019 every good cafe in Milano is offering an Americano and is very much enjoyed by Italians of every generation.

Great video! Looking to upgrade from a Breville infuser. I only drink americanos and espresso, and am looking at something like an ECM Classika – higher end single boiler with PID. For somebody that drinks americanos 50% of the time, will the lack of a dedicated hot water spout eventually become an annoyance? I'd like great temp control, so jumping up to an hx with PID might make sense as they usually have dedicated hot water… but they also carry a bit more of a $$ tag. Thoughts?

I prepare my Americanos manually as well as I haven't come across a SuperAuto that doses the shot at 18 grams. How many grams of coffee does the Gaggia dose for that Americano? The Jura machine I'm familiar with doses at only 14 grams which doesn't make for a good Americano in my opinion. Thanks and love your vids.
