AHHHH!!!! TOMATO PASTE …..NO!!!!! red food coloring… tomato wrecks it.. and use ORANGE and Star anise , Ginger, garlic, orange juice..(fresh squeezed if possible) strips red and orange peppers, onion if you want,… Pineapple is a twist on traditional in the USA…
I can't eat this… I'm not accustomed to that much sugar in regular food , in a dessert yes but not regular food.

Sweet and sour chicken is probably one of my favorite dishes. But CHEF…PLEASE tell me how to make that wonderful 'hot sauce'. It looks a bit like a 'pale' mustard with some body to it. They serve it in all the 'buffet' style restaurants and it is wonderful. But, I have also taken home some of the hot mustard packets — it is NOT the same. The hot sauce on the buffet is PUNGENT! You get too much of it and it will burn a hole in your nostrils. I love that stuff and I would love YOU forever if you could teach us how to make it! I made your General Tso's chicken is was PERFECT! Thank you!

Great video and easy to make…but the prep technique on the pineapple is the worst. Wasted a good third of the product using that approach.

I've professionally been cooking Chinese for 7 years now and this is one of my favorite dishes to make. I've learned a lot from Chinese chefs including Chef John, family and friends wants more of my cooking. It's part of my Wok's of Life.
Definitely, I'm going 2 get myself one of those 4 sure. I haven't been lucky with 'TakeOut' that's why I learned 2 cook, u know what's gone in it.

Wow a few people with this recipe tonight. The most challenging part was frying the chicken twice but the comments were amazing. The chicken was juicy and tender.
