Wasn't the real sugar in Mexican coca cola thing debunked? Same high fructose corn syrup as everything else.
Hmm, not sure about this one. I'd never tried a LIIT before making this recipe, so I don't have a frame of reference, but I thought it was good… But not amazing. Spirits wise I used zubrowka for the vodka (I thought the grassy notes might add a little something other than just alcohol), and I didn't have any straight gin so used a lime and cactus gin (thought it would complement the lemon, and orange from the triple sec), plantation 3 star, olmeca altos blanco, and cointreau.
I feel like the tequila overpowered all of the other spirits (which in hindsight shouldn't surprise me since its a much more bold and brash flavour compared to the rest), and the end result was like a milder, lemon based margarita that takes longer to make.
I mean, it's fine, it's tasty, but I don't think the tequila allows anything else to shine.

First time I ordered one, I assumed it was an alcoholic iced tea. I was very wrong.
Alright listen, I know I sound fuckin crazy but I wanted a Long Island and realized I was out of tequila, rum, and vodka, and I don’t keep coke in the house. So I made a botched concoction and it turned out really good.
1 oz wild turkey 101 bourbon
1 oz Fords London dry gin
3/4 oz amaretto
1/2 oz Demerara simple
1 oz triple sec
1 1/2 oz lemon juice
2 oz Dr Pepper
Trust me it’s good

I make my Long Island Ice Teas with full measures. Gin, Bacardi, Vodka, Tequila, Cointreau, Coke and Fresh Lemon Juice. Topped with maraschino cherries. No Syrup, but don't go crazy with the fresh lemon. Come over to my place, you will love them. 100% Guaranteed. lol
My favorite glass of trouble is actually a Lynchberg Lemonade. Haven't had one in a while because I mostly just exercise laziness and like my liquor straight (unlike me).

I make my wife L.I.I.T's. I use equal amounts – white rum, 100% agave tequila, vodka, triple sec, dry gin, lemon juice. Shake. topped with coke. My mother inlaw (who does not drink) had a sip to try it the other day….back to the bar to make another one for my wife.
